Joseph Giunta
Although Joe Giunta's background includes doing everything from drafting to teaching computer graphics, he is primarily a writer and educator.
Because he enjoys writing to help others learn, it became a natural transition for him to become an instructor and share what he knows with others. Today, he is an adjunct faculty member with two community colleges and works full time as a writer and designer for one of them. He also publishes his cartoons on his blog. Giunta is having a good time and thanks God for the ability to support his family doing what he loves.
His writing credentials include work in both magazines and newspapers. He has written by-lined articles for HOW, MacDirectory, Home Business Journal, Designer, The Daily Herald, Pioneer Press Newspapers, In-Plant Printer, and a host of newsletters. He has also interviewed a celebrity or two including Fran Tarkenton for a short article in Home Business Journal.
Giunta's Internet work includes writing updates for his college employer's website and writing the marketing copy for their brochures and fliers which he also designs. In 2009, the website was awarded the best training website by the Learning Resource Network (LERN) and one of his brochures was selected as a winner in the 2008 In-House Graphic Design Awards Annual by Graphic Design USA. Giunta is also on the editorial advisory board for the University College Designers Association (UCDA).
In addition to magazine and newspaper writing, Giunta has written training manuals, instructional materials, and grant proposals.
For Joe Giunta, writing is an engaging challenge that never gets boring. He hopes those who read his articles will find them interesting and worth their time.
